We appreciate the 1940 Census. In April 2012, the US National Archives released the records of the 1940 Census. Here’s a 3 minute video about the effort to digitize and post the records online and an example from the NY Times of the flood of interesting local perspectives on how American life has changed over the last 7 decades inspired by the records release.
